      Scottish Water Horizon – Senior Multifunctional Ops Technician

      Right now, we’re looking for someone with operational experience to join our Aquatrine team.

      What you’ll do

      An exciting and challenging full-time opportunity has come up with Scottish Water Horizons as a Senior Multifunctional Ops Technician .

      A unique role which gives you experience of operating and maintaining all these asset types while giving excellent commercial experience working within a tight contractual relationship that sets the terms of service expectations for the MOD. We’re in year 19 of a 25-year contract, so the ask will be to work closely with Veolia as we transition towards the end of the contract in 2030.

      Project Aquatrine is like running a mini–Scottish Water of your own, with networks, treatment works, and all other manner of assets dotted all over the country within a partnership with Veolia to maintain water and wastewater assets on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

      The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that contractual operational requirements are complied with on a day to day basis ensuring management of operations, planned maintenance and client liaison with Veolia Water Nevis and MOD are delivered in the most cost effective manner.

      The role holder will play a leading role in increasing safety awareness and behaviours across the delivery of the contract by ensuring that all assets are maintained and work is carried in line with current H&S legislation and SW policies.

      The role holder will be required to identify needs that would require capital expenditure and work with our team of co-ordinators to build a business case as part of a CAPEX submission process

      Strong stakeholder management is required as the role holder must give technical advice to SW CSD staff, sub contactors and the client in relation to operational issues.

      This role will be site based in and around the Clyde Valley but the role holder should be flexible and could be expected to travel all over Scotland with occasionally staying away from home.

      The role also requires undertake part of an out of hours standby with Team Leader supplement.

      What you’ll bring

      First and foremost, you’ll be adept at keeping multiple proverbial plates spinning.

      You’ll have experience of working in a busy operational environment, delivering service excellence along with experience of working within a team with a strong Health and Safety Culture.

      A proven background in at least one of the following technical knowledge in Water and/or Wastewater Operations.

      And in all your dealings with colleagues, clients, customers, and external parties, you will embody the Scottish Water Character – by being Bold, Responsible, Inspiring and Caring.

      Oh, and a driving licence and you will require to go through MOD Security Clearance.

      The not-so-small print

      The starting salary for this role will be £31,380 to £43,350
