- Contribute to the development of the Money Museum strategy; implement programs and activities aimed at enhancing the public understanding and support for the Bank and Federal Reserve System
- Serve as the central point of contact for the public and school groups and conceive creative strategies to promote the Money Museum
- Monitor physical site of the Money Museum to ensure proper functioning of equipment and exhibits
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct tours for a wide variety of audiences including school groups, the public, and other visitors
- Develop a proficient understanding of the Federal Reserve System and the Chicago Fed and convey knowledge to visitors
- Manage the Fed Ambassador program, including recruitment, training and evaluation of employee volunteers
- Plan and implement repairs and updates to Museum exhibits and develop new displays and exhibit content in conjunction with internal and external parties
- Collect and analyze Museum metrics and visitor experience data to improve the experience
- Interact with Bank management and departments to gain support and to ensure that Museum information and its programming is current, accurate, and effective
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- At least five years of related work experience in museums or informal education environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain and simplify complex topics to a wide variety of audiences
- Understanding of museum visitor experience and exhibit design best practices
- Interest in application of technologies to Museum settings
- Project management experience
- Collaborative, works well with others and can succeed in a team environment
- Track record of successfully managing volunteers
- Ability to work under deadline and balance a range of short-term and long-term projects
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago As the Senior Museum Program Representative, you will execute the daily operations for the Money Museum and serve as the Museum’s point of contact for the public, including giving museum presentations and managing the school field trips schedule, while also facilitating the Fed Ambassadors employee volunteer program. You will also project manage exhibit maintenance and content updates, while collaborating in planning, designing, and implementing Museum and other outreach programs to enhance public education and understanding of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Federal Reserve System.
The level of work is considered advanced, and you must be able to work under minimal supervision. You will have no direct reports.Key Responsibilities
