What You Will Do:

Network Segmentation & Security:

• Develop and implement detailed network and application segmentation strategies to align with security best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Design and configure VLANs, subnets, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce granular segmentation policies.
• Implement and manage micro-segmentation solutions to protect sensitive data and critical applications.
• Optimize firewall rules and policies in collaboration with the Firewall Team to strengthen network defenses.

Infrastructure & Risk Management:

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IOS, multiple routing protocols, wireless protocols (LWAPP), VPN, perimeter security, and Layer 3 content switching to support robust segmentation.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate segmentation gaps.

Access Control & Collaboration:

• Manage and enforce access controls within network and application segments, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
• Work closely with Network Infrastructure, Server Services, Firewall Team, and IT Security to define and implement segmentation requirements.
• Document network segmentation designs, configurations, and procedures for ongoing support and reference.

What You Bring to the Team:

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Certifications: CCNA required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 7-10 years of IT experience, preferably in a healthcare or enterprise environment.
• Certifications: CCNP or other equivalent senior-level certifications.
