- Work across departments to develop and implement technical solutions and platforms to support Network Security functions.
- Define, measure and report metrics to monitor compliance and effectiveness of managed platforms and services.
- Implement network security risk management strategies and practices that continuously monitor and improve the security of client-facing and internally facing applications.
- Demonstrate effective time and priority management, careful use of resources, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while providing reasoned alternatives to solve problems
- Ensure cybersecurity, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are properly followed and resolve risk items in a timely manner.
- Be proactive in testing, identifying and remediating network and system vulnerabilities.
- This role reports to the VP of Network Security.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security for Financial Institutions (or similar regulated industries), with specific experience in developing, implementing and managing Network Security solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in areas such as IT, Computer Science, IT Security, etc. and/or professional certification such as CISSP preferred.
- Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques, with a solid understanding of security principles, infrastructure, and data protection practices.
- Significant experience in modern, large-scale corporate network environments, with demonstrable, expert-level understanding of core network switching and routing concepts, protocols and implementations.
- Expertise in Network Security technology infrastructure including Firewalls, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Web Proxy and other solutions that integrate the latest technologies to prevent and detect malicious attacks.
- Top candidates will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Experience and advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and risk and compliance requirements.
- General understanding of cloud computing and services and traditional hardware/software platforms, including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
- Familiarity with deployments and integration of network security solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
