      Job Summary

      • Review and investigate all transaction alerts generated by Transaction Monitoring System as per defined policy and procedure.
      • Perform investigation on Unusual Activity Report received.
      • Due diligence and background check on suspicious cases.
      • Timely escalation to next level, Financial Crime Compliance for action.
      • Regular update on procedures in accordance to the guidelines set by the Group and regulators.
      • Ensure proper CAD management.
      • Timely and accurate management information reporting.

      Key Responsibilities

      The Transaction Monitoring Analyst main responsibility relates to the investigation of daily transaction monitoring alerts, raising Unusual Activity Referrals and reporting where required.

      Strategy

      • Identifying AML risks and vulnerabilities

      Business
      Experience in investigation of daily transaction monitoring alerts/cases. Sound understanding and working knowledge of the AML/CTF program

      Processes
      Manage and/or resolve alerts/cases - Follow the Non-Correspondent Banking DOI to process risk events in line with Assess, Analyse, Act (AAA) process

      Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm

      Risk Management
      Analyse significant financial crime risk events (e.g. non-compliant transactions, production orders) to ensure that all connected parties, particularly cross-border are identified and reported at the appropriate levels internally across all relevant jurisdictions

      Governance
      In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased. Support all control checks undertaken by FCC under the Operational Risk Framework (ORF).

      Skills and Experience

      • Must be a quick learner, willing to learn any technology that might be required to complete the task.
      • Strong logical and problem-solving expertise.
      • Good communication and documentation skills.
      • Must be a Team player, attention to details and problem solving capacity.
      • AML and terrorist financing, Knowledge of transaction monitoring, sanction, CDD, Screening, Banking products.
      • Analysis skills: able to evaluate data trends and out of pattern activities, working knowledge of Internet and MS Office Suite & assimilate, review and evaluate information from disperse data sources to identify a course of action (e.g., case closure or escalation), and record and communicate this decision clearly and concisely
      • Banking: knowledge in terms of customers, products, and transactions with expertise in at least one customer segment (retail, corporate, private banking, correspondent banking)
      • Banking operations experience (Client Due Diligence, payments, trade, markets or other) and service-oriented attitude.

      Qualifications

      • EDUCATION Academic or professional education/QUALIFICATIONS, i.e., standards required for roles. Eligible Criteria - Minimum Graduation from the reputed institute is required for the role.
      • TRAINING Bank process training, i.e., mandatory & developmental – role-specific, and regulatory / compliance bank wide & role-specific. Deliver Training to New Joiner, Need Based Training programs, Awareness / Refresher and Specialist training programs and provide subject matter expertise support to team. Ensure that internal and external errors arising out of knowledge gaps are addressed.
      • LICENSES Licenses and certifications / accreditations, i.e. internal / externally required with active relationship
      • MEMBERSHIP Professional memberships (if any), i.e. active membership is required for roles for continuous development / improvement/ awareness of current practices, etc
      • CERTIFICATIONS AML related certifications should be added advantage. Eg: AML/KYC, ACAMS and CGSS etc.
      • LANGUAGES Excellent communication in English (articulation and writing).
      • EXPERIENCE Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the related field will be an added advantage.
