      This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site. No relocation is offered.

      AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.

      Job Duties/Responsibilities:

      • VDI Management: Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VMware Horizon VDI environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
      • User Support: Providing advanced support for end-users, troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops, applications, and connectivity.
      • System Upgrades: Planning and executing upgrades to the VDI infrastructure, including software updates and hardware replacements.
      • Security: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the VDI environment from threats and vulnerabilities.
      • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the performance of the VDI system and making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and user experience.
      • Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of the VDI environment, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
      • Collaboration: Working closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of VDI solutions within the broader IT infrastructure.
      • Training: Providing training and guidance to junior staff and end-users on best practices for using and managing VDI.

      Required Qualifications:

      • VMware Horizon: In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware Horizon, Aria, and VMware Cloud Foundation including installation, configuration, and administration.
      • Virtualization Technologies: Proficiency in virtualization technologies and concepts, particularly those related to VDI such as VMware Horizon, AppVolumes, Control-UP and n VMware Carbon Black Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) application.
      • Networking: Understanding of network principles and configurations as they pertain to VDI environments.
      • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
      • Senior-Level Experience: A significant amount of experience in IT, with a focus on VDI and virtualization technologies.
      • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) would be advantageous.
      • Project Management: Experience in managing projects and leading initiatives related to VDI deployment and optimization.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
      • Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
