Job Description

- Provide application database development, performance tuning, and operational support.
- Lead database backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot complex operational issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in customer-facing meetings.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, including flexible work during nights and weekends.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures using tools like ServiceNow (SNOW).
- Support database operations in a Java application environment.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with Oracle database systems on UNIX and Linux platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c, including RAC, ASM, and Transparent Data Encryption.
- Strong performance tuning, backup & recovery (RMAN), and database query optimization.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and shell scripting.
- Experience with database partitioning, patching, and cloning.
- Familiarity with Solaris and Red Hat operating systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with clients and team members.
- Experience using ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar ticketing systems.
- Exposure to working in high-availability and enterprise production environments.
- Knowledge of database operations in support of web-based applications.
