- Expert Facilitation, Leading and advising on high impact, complex group discussions, workshops, and team interventions

- Membership of relevant professional body and/or professional management body (e.g. CIPD, CIM, IoD)
- Mediation Qualification
- Utilising proven mediation experience to navigate and resolve complex, high-stakes workplace conflicts effectively
- Ability to diagnose complex organisational issues and lead the implementation of highly effective, Trust-wide solutions
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills & High Emotional Intelligence
- Ability to understand complex systems, mindful of intricate connections between people, processes, and outcomes

Job summary
Are you a highly skilled and strategic OD professional ready to lead significant cultural and leadership transformation within a leading NHS Trust? Here at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, we are committed to exceptional patient care and workforce development. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is seeking an experienced Senior OD Practitioner with proven experience at this level to join our Centre of Excellence on a 24-month fixed-term contract. Your crucial role will ensure our ongoing OD delivery continues seamlessly, enabling one of our current practitioners to be rapidly dedicated to a wider, exciting OD project.
As a Senior OD Practitioner, you will play a critical, leadership role in shaping and delivering the Trust's Organisational Development support. This isn't just about implementation; it's about leading with clarity, compassion, and a coaching mindset to influence system wide change and foster an environment of psychological safety and inclusive leadership

Main duties of the job
Strategic OD Design & Delivery, diagnosing complex organisational challenges and designing and leading evidence informed OD interventions (e.g., leadership programmes, high impact team development, strategic change management) that drive overarching strategic goals. You will proactively anticipate future organisational challenges and design decisive OD responses, leading and governing portfolios of OD interventions, not just individual projects.
Measuring Impact & Governance, developing robust and strategic evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and outcomes of OD activities, linking them directly to Trust-wide goals. This includes actively engaging with employee voice, establishing feedback loops, and analysing associated metrics to inform continuous improvement. You will also contribute to stronger governance oversight of OD interventions.
As an accredited coach, you will lead impactful 1:1 and group coaching sessions, drawing on your keen understanding of human behaviour and psychology. By effectively deploying tools like Insights Discovery, Gest methodology, EQi, Affina OD, and 360 feedback
Managing and leading a team with clear delegation and performance support. You will also manage OD budgets, contracts, or partnerships, and may supervise a wider team, fostering their development and performance.
Utilising proven mediation experience to navigate and resolve complex, high-stakes workplace conflicts effectively.

This 24 month fixed-term role provides an opportunity to shape and drive strategic project as part of our innovative Organisational Development and Culture Centre of Excellence. You'll serve as a key leader within a large, committed leadership team, collaborating with other leaders and like-minded colleagues on a diverse portfolio of OD and culture-focused projects. Your work will directly influence colleague development and enhance team effectiveness across the entire Trust.
