Interfacing with and assisting outside counsel on intellectual property matters.
Working with attorneys/agents to track deadlines and ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
Docketing: Review entry of deadlines into IP docketing database for accuracy, i.e. review incoming correspondence from USPTO, WIPO, RO/US and/or foreign associates regarding the current status of patent applications – and ensure accuracy of the information, including Official Filing Receipts, Publications, Notifications, Assignments, Office Actions, Notices of Allowance, Issue Fees, and Patent documents.
Support of 4 practioners or the case load equivalent.
Prepare and run weekly docket meetings to ensure timely response to all deadlines. Preparation includes entering commentary to patent deadlines indicating the latest status prior to the weekly docket meeting.
Coordinate filing of new US/PCT patent applications, national stage applications, and foreign applications.
Preparing and managing filing formal of documents, including Oath/Declarations, Powers of Attorney, Patent Assignments, and other formal documents as required by the USPTO/RO-US/PCT.
Familiarity with post-grant proceedings including European Oppositions and Nullity proceeding.
Assist in developing best practices and internal SOPs for ensuring a high functioning IP Department.
Assist Paralegal Manager with any other projects, including audits of the portfolio.
5+ years of substantive IP prosecution experience at a law firm or in-house including, but not limited to, U.S. and/or Foreign Filing policies and procedures, using and maintaining an IP docketing system, and filing and managing patent-related documents throughout the stage of a patent application.
Some Trademark experience is a Plus.
Strong knowledge of docketing procedures and hands-on experience in one or more docketing tools. Anaqua experience is a Plus.
Flexibility to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and ability to handle multiple projects under limited supervision.

Meet the team:
Our Senior Paralegal - Intellectual Property will work closely with an active group of patent attorneys/agents and interact with outside legal counsel as well as other legal groups in t he wider Legal Department.
The Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal will be responsible for overseeing patent and trademark matters, including interfacing with business stakeholders and outside counsel, and preparing status reports. This role is available for fully remote work.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
