Job Description
- Req#: R1150970
- Take ownership of complex cases for all types of defined benefit and defined contribution members including retirements, deaths, leavers, transfers out, AVCs, new entrants, dual members etc.
- Provide training, support and mentoring to more junior administration team members as required. Accurately check and review work, provide constructive feedback to administrators and report any issues to Pensions Administration Team Manager.
- Prioritise workload to deliver outstanding customer service. Work closely with Pensions Administration Consultants and take responsibility for escalating any issues and identifying potential solutions.
- Work with Pensions Administration Consultants to test and implement process and systems improvements / updates and provide feedback where necessary
- Be target driven and report to Administration Team Manager if team service level adherence falls below 95%.
- Excellent knowledge of scheme rules and technical compliance
- Ability to motivate administrators
- Support Pensions Administration Consultants in fulfilling the tasks required in their Specialist Areas and deputise in their absence.
- Actively participate and lead activity in administration projects
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pensions administration service department, dealing with DB (and hybrid) trust administration and using pensions administration systems is desirable.
- Ideally CPC (or PMI) qualified
- 5 GCSE passed at grade C or above (Maths and English essential)
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Good user capability of all MS Office applications, e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Word.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all areas of pensions administration principles
- Flexibility/adaptability.
- Ability to problem solve and provide constructive feedback to senior staff
- Demonstrate customer led thinking.
- Administration Project experience.
- Ideally experience in mentoring and training junior staff.
