      Job Description:

      Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Port Facility Security Officer to join our team! The Senior Port Facility Security Officer will be responsible for managing the Port security operations including 24/7 surveillance, matters and distribute necessary information to port personnel and JCPDI Port Authority based on associated appropriate security classification and measurement.

      What You'll Be Doing:

      • Manage JCPDI port 24/7 security operations, port facility security assessments and provide security presence in JCPDI harbor.
      • Create the JCPDI Port Security Plan and carry out the necessary activities related to maritime and building security as determined by JCPDI Port Authority.
      • Issuing of all security passes and permits including logging details.
      • Ensure delivery of a high standard of service to the port’s clients, stakeholders and public w identifying the security threats and patterns.
      • Provide the required security response and crisis management, while ensuring security measurement is adequate and protection is provided to JCPDI assets from theft and damage.
      • Liaises with the coast Guard, Port Operator and Port Authority in providing the required security services and assistance and support port’s users.
      • Ensure that standard security services are maintained.
      • Control port’s client, port users, stakeholders and public access to the port premises.
      • Liaise with relevant authorities.
      • Report incidents in relation to security infringements, damage, criminal damage, road traffic accidents and misbehavior and determine course of action.
      • Provide appropriate security services (e.g. closing the piers, controlling traffic, etc.) during the visits of cruise ships to JCPDI Port.
      • Locking and unlocking of all port facilities.
      • Placing any movable signs for passenger information, making announcements on the public address system.
      • Provide patrols within the port and harbor areas for security purposes, enforcing parking restrictions, investigating any problems or incidents in the area and checking for problems or defects.
      • Provide assistance to staff within other infrastructure Departments as required and assist in emergency procedures e.g. clearing the area of the public, closing roads and traffic control.

      What Required Skills You'll Bring:

      • Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Navy, Port, Military Studies, Marine or relevant field with 8 years of related experience in Port security and port facility management.
      • Port Facility Security Management certificate is preferred.
      • Minimum of First person on scene medical qualification, First Aid is preferred.
      • Strong experience within port maritime security and minimum knowledge of port management, local and international marine regulations.

      • Excellent leadership, teamwork, management, communication skills and ability to interface with the staff at all levels
      • Good English language skills including reading, writing and speaking.
      • Computer literate with experience using MS Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation).
