What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide development support and conceptual design services for electric power generation projects
- Conduct technical evaluations and engineering design reviews of thermal power facilities
- Support project economic analysis, risk assessments, and contract development
- Perform technical due diligence and owner’s engineer services for clients
- Collaborate with clients on mechanical design aspects of utility-scale thermal power projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electric power industry, specifically in mechanical systems design for thermal power projects
- Experience with utility-scale simple and combined-cycle projects, reciprocating engine projects, and/or coal-fired generation
- Strong technical communication and writing skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of thermal power projects
- General understanding of power station operations and performance reviews
- Familiarity with process design at electric power generation facilities
- Experience in economic analysis and contract development
- Knowledge of international design codes and standards
