What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Apply power systems planning principles and analyze power system transient behaviors
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations of study results with recommendations
- Perform power system transient analysis using appropriate software tools
- Organize and lead small project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Develop automation scripts to enhance simulation speed and accuracy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the electric power industry
- In-depth knowledge of transmission system planning and/or operations
- Experience performing transient analysis using PSCAD/EMTDC or EMTP-RV
- Excellent English written and spoken communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience evaluating transient stability of large transmission systems using PSS®E, TSAT, or PSLF
- Experience developing scripts to automate execution and analysis of simulations
