      POSITION SUMMARY

      Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this key leadership role is responsible for daily operations of their respective clinics within the Physicians Medical Group Where you will be responsible for the following areas/ staff: Scheduling, Registration, Medical Assistants, LVNs, RNs, APP caregivers, Physicians, and Health Information Management (Medical Records). This role provides innovative leadership to maximize all of their clinics’ contributions to the overall operational and clinical performance. Provides for the delivery of care to patients and evaluates the multidisciplinary care in a systematic fashion in order to improve outcomes. Serves as a liaison between PMG and Administrations of hospitals. Oversees operational and capital budget processes. Facilitates ongoing Quality Improvement processes. Collaborates with health care team to plan and implement new services.


      Responsibilities

      • Assesses department needs, sets priorities, and implements changes appropriately
      • Leads in the development of programs to enhance services, volumes, and finances.
      • Looks for opportunities to communicate effectively with staff.
      • Works to make operations more efficient.
      • Aligns all parties to the same expected operational goals and outcomes.
      • Participates in public/community relations and education assignments which may include speaking to various groups.
      • Prepares operational and capital budgets for all responsible departments and works with the leadership to ensure budgets are adhered to and managed.
      • Oversees and assists when necessary, the compliance with local, state and federal regulatory entities to assure system-wide compliance with all applicable regulations.
      • Compiles and prepares management reports under the direction of Administrative representative to provide necessary information for departmental decision making and strategic planning.
      • Provides supervision, coaching, mentoring, hiring, terminations for staff and departmental leadership.
      • Works to ensure employment engagement is at the highest level possible.
      • Helps coordinates staffing to ensure clinic and hospital are covered by physicians and APP’s as the need dictates.
      • Holds physicians accountable for timely, accurate and standardized clinical reporting.
      • Facilitates monthly clinical and administrative meetings to ensure PMG, practice and physicians are aligned.
      • Reports monthly on financials, operations, capital needs, etc.
      • Works collaboratively with the Revenue Cycle Administrator to effectuate communications and help ensure the Revenue Cycle Processes are timely and accurate.

      Qualifications

      Education & Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Care related field required, or a minimum of 8 years of health care experience in lieu of a degree with a high school diploma required.
      • Master’s Degree in a Health Care related field preferred
      • Ten years of progressive health care leadership required
      • Experience in practice/clinic leadership and management
      • Prior managed care contracting and capitation plan understanding and experience
      • Membership in Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) or the American College of Medical Practice Executive beneficial

      Supervisory Requirements:

      • Access/Registration/Supervisors, HIM Supervisor, Nurse Supervisor, Scheduling Supervisor, and others as applicable

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

      • Capable of interacting with physicians and physician assistants

      • Knowledge of billing and collection process and systems

      • Knowledge of physician contract structure and negotiations

      • Patient record documentation skills
