Job Description

MSNBC is looking for an experienced Senior Producer to be responsible for creating, producing and supervising segments for The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the supervision of the editorial vision of each day, including suggesting stories and guests for the show
• Supervise and copy edit segment producers’ scripts
• Coach and mentor show staff
• Write and produce segments on occasion
• Become involved in planning process
• Oversee show rundown and live broadcast from control room
• Oversee digital and social media copy for show accounts

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Six years of Editorial experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment, ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change
• Five years producing day-of-news programming/content
• Five years of control room experience
• Experience developing producer talent

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments
• Strong writing skills
• Sound journalistic judgment
• Knowledge of current events, politics and American history
• Strong time management skills

Salary range: $125,000-170,000
