      Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. BB also services and manages Digital payment products that our personal and institutional online trading customers utilise.

      Do Work That Matters

      The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the e2e development, distribution and management of the cross-border payment products within the BB business unit. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for product design, delivery and ownership of the end-to-end product and channels. This role is accountable for monitoring product performance, supporting the product strategy, delivering continuous improvement and supporting the product risk management initiatives and compliance with all payment regulatory obligations. The Senior Product Manager also has a small team to support on a day-to-day basis to support the product management and team development.

      More specifically, you will be;

      • Accountable for monitoring the financial performance and customer outcomes related to their payment products, reviewing the market demand, product Profit and Loss on a monthly basis
      • Drive the design of products by reviewing complaints, demand from the target market and risk controls on a regular basis
      • Monitor the performance of their payment products, reviewing competitor offerings on a monthly basis, locally and globally.
      • Own the product design changes and solutions, seeking the appropriate approvals to deliver the changes to market
      • Monitoring business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and recommending modifications in product features, pricing, and marketing approaches to improve results
      • Developing and designing the features of a designated new product or enhancement to address an identified market need or opportunity
      • Delivering long term strategic projects to ensure their products continue to meet genuine customer needs
      • Look to manage change and continuously improve the product to enhance the customer experience, whilst proactively managing risks associated to the product.

      • Experienced Product Manager with 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, payments product management and/or product process improvement.
      • Risk Mind-set –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
      • Essential - Proven success in developing and delivering a defined product strategic roadmap within an Agile delivery environment.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication
      • Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
      • Strong problem-solving capabilities – have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options/solutions to complex problems and technical nuances.
      • Excellent payment products, policy and systems knowledge, excellent knowledge of the broader payments industry
