      Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

      Summary:

      At
      Rainin, the Senior Product Manager is the product champion. The Product Manager
      for Semi Automated Liquid Handling (SALH) portfolio will be responsible for all
      aspects of our Liquidator, BenchSmart, and MicroPro product lines, as well as
      the associated consumables and accessories. The Product Manager will assess and
      prioritize customer and market requirements, working in collaboration with
      strategic partners, product development, production, and commercial teams to
      deliver the highest quality products that meet customer needs. This position
      reports directly to the Head of Product Management at Rainin.


      The goal for the Senior Product Manager will be to support managing the
      assigned portfolio to maximize market share, maximize profitability and set a
      strategic pathway forward for future growth in revenue and market share.

      Key Responsibilities:

      * In collaboration with the commercial team, the
      Sr. Product Manager will own and be responsible for growing the Rainin product
      portfolio with a goal of increasing market share and increasing revenue. This
      will include supporting the production of sales collateral that provides
      appealing value messaging as well as analyzing competitive products and
      providing sales channels with compelling arguments against competitive
      products.

      * Work closely with customers and strategic
      partners to gather input in order to develop innovative and disruptive new
      product ideas, write appropriate business and specification documents that
      drive the development of new products.

      * Be an integral part of the product development
      team to ensure successful implementation of product requirements and drive
      product development to commercial launch, acting as the voice of the customer.
      Propose portfolio changes to maximize revenues and profits.

      * Perform competitive and market analysis to
      understand our customer's full range of alternatives and Rainin's positioning
      with respect to those alternatives. Collect voice of customer data accordantly
      and present it to the organization.

      * Train the sales teams and support selling
      activities as appropriate, including development of sales tools and marketing
      collateral.

      * Work with the operations team for all aspects of
      operation such as quality, manufacturing, and supply chain.

      * Support Tech support, sales teams and market
      organizations around the world.

      * Manage the complete Product Life Cycle process
      from ideation to phase out.

      * Requires ability to travel maximum 20% of time
      domestically and internationally.

      Qualifications:

      The
      person in this role will act as the product champion who drives various groups
      to produce the success needed engineering to develop the product, manufacturing
      to make it on time with high quality, marketing to create demand, and sales,
      service to generate the revenue.

      Applicants should be able to demonstrate
      proficiency in the following key areas:

      * Achievement of Sales and Financial targets of
      the assigned products or product lines

      * Identification of market potential for new and
      existing products

      * Monitoring of competition to determine their
      product strategy and product weaknesses and benefits

      * Review of market research reports and generation
      of marketing surveys to monitor market conditions

      * Partnering with global sales teams to assess
      similarities and differences in regional conditions for business opportunities

      * Definition of new product ideas through
      collection of market data, sales and direct customer feedback

      * Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives to collect
      and validate new product and or features within the assigned product and
      product line,

      * Production of business cases to justify new
      product development and creation of product specifications that outline
      customer needs for product development teams

      * Management of product development teams located
      at different tiem zones to meet timelines, costs, specifications and quality
      goals

      * Development of value proposition statements and
      marketing communications with written material plus data to support the
      development of the optimal communications tools

      * Launching of new products, training of sales
      teams and deployment of all necessary support and motivational tools to
      generate immediate revenue success

      * Role of key support person with the greatest
      in-depth knowledge of the product to help overcome any sales issues

      * Motivation of all associated contributors to the
      success of the product to ensure product success

      * Review of market situations from a global
      perspective with regards to technology threats, economic threats, competitive
      threats as well as opportunities


      What You Need to Succeed

      Education & Experience:

      * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or
      university in life sciences or other science discipline, MBA preferred not
      required.

      * Minimum of 2+ years product management, product
      marketing, strategy, or similar experience

      * Lab bench experience and understanding of
      workflow in life science applications

      * Experience working in cross-functional teams

      * Experience working in Product development
      cycle/phases

      * Experience in primary and secondary market
      research

      * Experience in robotic or high through-put
      instruments

      * Experience in instrument service

      * Experience is people management.

      * Effective communication skills

      * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation
      skills
