      Responsibilities

      A core part of Preqin’s growth plan is to continue to build out and develop our market leading data platform which serves the alternative assets market. Our Service Providers business unit are focused on meeting the needs of a wide range of customers including law firms, banks, advisory firms and software providers who are a key part of the alternative assets ecosystem. You’ll need to understand those customers, how Preqin can help them, and work out where are the opportunities for us to make the biggest impact.

      As the Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for product development within our Service Provider business unit, focused on supporting one of our key customer groups and an important growth area for the business. You’ll work closely with the business unit lead and a cross-functional team, building industry leading products for our Service Provider customers.

      This role will partner closely with our engineering and design teams, global research teams, customer success and sales teams to determine the strategic direction and operational delivery of the company’s products.

      In this role you will:

      • Define the product vision and strategy for your area, working closely with the cross-functional team to identify how to chase our strategic goals.
      • Talk to customers to create a solution that meets their needs and provides a significant competitive advantage to the business.
      • Identify and track the right metrics for your area and your customers, and use those metrics to make our products better.
      • Work closely and collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers – you’ll get everyone aligned around a problem, work together on out how to solve it, and then execute effectively.
      • Get product to customers, understand the impact you’ve had, and learn from it and iterate.
      • Develop yourself and the people around you – share what you’ve learned, and work your colleagues to find ways to do things better.

      Qualifications

      You are a good fit if:

      • You care about customers deeply – you’re obsessed with finding out what their problems are, and how we are going to solve them.
      • You have a commercial mindset, and are able to apply a great understanding of customers, the market and our products to identifying where the biggest opportunities are.
      • You’re a good executor, with a track record of getting product to customers quickly and iteratively.
      • You’re evidence based, using data, customer feedback and market insight to help us to build industry leading products.
      • You’re honest, self-aware and evidence based on how you and your team are doing, and continuously look for ways to improve.
      • You’re a great team player who can think independently, and has the confidence to challenge the views of others, including senior management.
      • You can lead and motivate people, getting them aligned around the right problems and setting them up for success.
      • You act like an owner – you take responsibility for problems, and if you see something wrong, you make it better.
      • Experience of financial services, data products or B2B software is important.
