      Senior Product Manager

      American National is seeking a Senior Product Manager to develop, communicate, and execute product strategy throughout the organization to achieve profit and growth objectives, and drive key initiatives to address product strategy and profitability objectives. The ideal candidate will have Commercial product management experience as well as an actuarial background. This role may be based from our Springfield, MO or Glenmont, NY locations.

      What You'll Do

      • Own the P&L for the Commercial line of business
      • Analyze regional or line of business results to identify trends and issues
      • Collaborate with regional leaders and other internal groups to measure and monitor performance of both growth and profitability
      • Research and analyze competitor products and develop and execute plans for competitor and market research and analysis
      • Make recommendations for development of product enhancements based upon competitor and field review
      • Assist in coordinating the development of new products and product changes and collaborate with marketing to identify areas of focus and opportunity
      • Develop and execute long-term business product plans that drive profitable growth at the local market level
      • Function as a technical resource to leadership, lead cross-functional strategy teams, and develop annual growth plans by field personnel, state, region and line of business
      • Present to P&C executive team at regular intervals to ensure alignment with LOB vision, strategy, goals, and top actions.

      What You'll Need

      • Bachelor's degree
      • Minimum of seven years’ experience in Product Management within P&C Insurance
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
      • Exceptional presentation skills
      • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, management and other personnel
      • Ability to work independently with excellent organization skills and initiative

      Salary for this position can range from $136,000 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $164,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
