  We are looking for a Senior Product Owner Test Automation (m/f/d) to lead an agile team of developers and DevOps engineers focused on the automation of integration and end-2-end tests for our cloud-based dental healthcare software. The Product Owner Test Automation will support this goal on a management level by coordinating the team and its stakeholders, as well as on a technical level by driving technical decisions, reviewing results, and contributing code.

  This is a hybrid position which requires working in our Bensheim office at least 2-3-days a week.

  Senior Product Owner Test Automation (m/f/d)

  Key Responsibilities:

  
  • Ownership of the software organizations test automation solutions. Aligning thereof with product teams, CICD, operations, and established standards
  • Requirements engineering with stakeholders to create and prioritize the team backlog
  • Support and mentor team members, provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Contribute code reviews and code to the common test automation framework (Go lang)
  • Proactively share team results for their adoption by product development teams
  • Design strategies to continuously increase the ratio and coverage of automation in integration and end-2-end testing
  • Track and explore modern (AI-) tools to improve the writing, execution, and reporting of tests
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on the journey of test automation and the vision of a continuously compliant software offering
  • Support in the formal validation and documentation of test automation tools and workflows

  Requirements and Qualifications:

  
  Education:

  
  • Master in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.

  Years and Type of Experience:

  
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps engineering, or similar roles, including large projects and spanning multiple teams
  • 3+ years of experience in leading technical topics or managing tech projects
  • Work experience in the medical technology domain or other regulated industries is a plus

  Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

  
  • Strong background in software development. Experience in Go lang, Dart/Flutter, C++ is a plus
  • Deep understanding of software test automation methods, frameworks, and tools
  • Understanding of the full SDLC and DevOps practices
  • Ability to break down complex issues for others to understand and work on
  • Servant leadership behavior, encouraging team members to own their work, shielding them from disturbances, and removing impediments
  • Knowledge about cloud infrastructure, experience with the Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • High level of commitment, transparency, and accountability
  • Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written. German is a plus.
