      Position Summary:

      Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is a high performer in production that is cross trained in multiple areas of production. The Sr. Production Technician will be able to perform daily tasks without direction, identify deviations, and basic trouble shooting of equipment. A Sr.’s KPI targets should meet or exceed the acceptable range for production.

      Essential Functions and Duties:

      This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

      • Operate milling machines, 3D printers, finishing, sintering ovens, and packaging.
      • Inspect parts as they are produced including microscope inspection.
      • Cross train in other areas of production.
      • Ensure part finish quality meets or exceeds requirements.
      • Careful handling and counting of the parts.
      • Clean and maintain hand pieces, sandblaster, steamer, benches and stain solution.
      • Follow procedures and complete quality and related documentation.
      • Follows safety rules and maintains personal safety and the safety of others.
      • Record and report information accurately as required.
      • Perform job duties in compliance with work instructions.
      • Adhere to all company policies, work rules and the Straumann Code of Conduct.
      • Applies a disciplined approach to ensuring conformance to medical device regulations, standards and norms.
      • Reinforces meticulous adherence to procedures and amends procedures as needed to continuously improve them.
      • Identifies non-conformances where there is a clear deviation from the approved process.
      • Ensures correct material segregation and traceability and processes “First in First Out order”.
      • Drives Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
      • Ensures the production workplace is clean, orderly, organized, and befitting of a medical device manufacturing facility.
      • Track case statuses in CAMDB (cam data base).
      • Other duties as assigned by a manager.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Minimum 2 years in a production environment
      • Trained and technically competent in the main assigned area, and proficient in at least half of the jobs in the work area safely with quality and on time.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Dental laboratory operations or similar experience
      • Manufacturing experience
      • Ability to inspect and work using a microscope
      • Able to interact with a computer managed workflow
      • Ability to work with small, high-quality parts and recognize detail
