What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete Medicare and Medicaid cost report submissions for assigned hospitals and manage related audit activities
- Provide independent reimbursement consulting services to corporate and regional finance teams
- Oversee and develop reimbursement strategies for Medicare alternate payment methodologies, focusing on bundled payments
- Coordinate Medicare quality-based payment methodologies, including Value-Based Purchasing and Excess Readmissions
- Review and ensure compliance of Medicare and Medicaid contractual models and related reimbursement factors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in Medicare cost reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare prospective payment systems including Inpatient Acute DRGs and Outpatient APCs
- Thorough understanding of Medicare statutes and regulations, including GME and IME reimbursement
- Familiarity with Medicaid supplemental payment concepts and related provider tax assessments
- Intermediate-to-Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with McKesson G/L and Siemens Invision
- Proficiency in HFS cost report software or its equivalent
