      The Role

      We are embarking on a number of changes across our business and need an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join the existing team to lead on these projects.

      As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, you will lead the implementation of projects across PL Re providing the planning, management, oversight and communication of one or more projects.

      The primary focus for this role will be supporting the infrastructure project team in delivering a refresh of our global desktop estate. This comprises of upgrading laptop operating systems to Windows 11, updating the hardware, and migrating from SCCM to Intune. We are seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful implementation of this project.

      To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in project management, along with a good understanding of desktop upgrade deployments using SCCM and Intune, having proven and demonstrable experience of implementing and rolling out global desktop refresh to circa 1000 users. You will have a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, ensuring planning, management, oversight and communications are in line with PL Re’s expectations.

      You will work alongside our broad and multi-location Business and Technology Delivery teams including Platforms, Infrastructure, Data, Enterprise Architecture and E-ISO and where appropriate Actuarial Systems, Finance, Operations, Pricing and other teams to develop, align and manage the project plan and timelines.

      Qualifications, Expertise and Attributes

      • Essential experience and proven track record of delivering end to end desktop upgrades within medium to large organisations.
      • Experiences of delivering projects including M365, Cloud, Intune and SCCM
      • Proven and demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager in complex IT Service Management / Technology environments.
      • Comfortable working in Waterfall, Agile & Hybrid styles, demonstrating an ability to select the best approaches for the tasks and challenges at hand.
      • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
      • Data & analytical expertise, ability to elicit and agree requirements across a broad a diverse group of stakeholders.
      • Expert planning, control and monitoring skills.
      • Solid understanding of the importance of and adherence to Technology Risk Management standards and security.
      • Proven communication skills with the gravitas to interact at Executive and Senior Leadership levels.
      • Significant experience in people management and matrix team leadership.
      • Extensive experience managing and partnering with multiple 3rd party vendors.
      • Strong understanding of project and programme methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
      • Project and Programme Management experience of at least 10 years.
      • Knowledge and experience of using PPM solutions, Jira / Atlassian & MS 365 an advantage.
