  MaceYMR are looking to recruit a senior leader within the project management team in East Africa to support in taking the business forward and drive growth across the East Africa region.

  • Perform as client liaison across multiple projects and maintain strong client relationships.

  • You will ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with service excellence.

  • You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

  • You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the associate director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.

  • You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.

  • You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • You have experience in preparation of project bids, deliver interview presentations and be able to follow bids through to signing of contracts.

  • You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.

  You’ll need to have:

  • Proven years of experience in the industry

  • Experience performing a similar leadership role in current or previous employment.

  • Experience in multiple concurrent project delivery lead roles.

  • A relevant degree of minimal 2:1 classification. Masters is not required but could be seen as beneficial to the application.

  • Experienced in working with multiple forms of digital software tools.

  • Awareness of sustainability initiatives and goals and align the MaceYMR business to achieve and maximise on sustainability goals and outcomes.

  • Experience in multiple contract forms of delivery and be experienced in performing the role of FIDIC Engineer, or similar role relevant to contract delivery experience.

  • Awareness of Maces commitment to health, safety, environmental and wellbeing and experience in delivering projects aligned to the standards required of MaceYMR.

  • Commercial awareness both at project cost level and business strategic level.

  You’ll also have:

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

  • Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.

  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans.

  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
