Job Description

- Drive delivery of 2 to 3 concurrent initiatives using appropriate methods, including Agile and Iterative Waterfall
- Manage status updates, project financials, product demos and retrospectives
- Plan and manage detailed schedules, identify issues and escalate as required to program committees, complete risk assessments and contingency plans
- Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. Vendors, RBC IT teams, Product)
- Build / present reporting for management level presentations
- Support and enhance the CDO business agile approach of quarterly planning and delivery using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Establish strong working relationships across technical/business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners
- Ensure correct metrics are in place to capture performance and best practices are applied to foster continuous improvement
- Post- Secondary education or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration or Computer Science
- 7+ years of project management, with significant prior experience in an IT or financial services role (developer, data engineer, financial analyst, business analyst, etc)
- Strong financial acumen.
- Experience managing large regulatory transformation projects involving cross-enterprise teams across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions.
- Experience working with Third Party Suppliers
- Knowledge of Agile and Iterative Waterfall Methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of RBC.
- PMP/PgMP Certification, Scrum Master Certification (CSM, CSP or SAFe), PMI-ACP
- Expertise delivering data science and data engineering solutions as a Scrum Master, Product Manager or Project Manager.
- Working knowledge of Canadian and US Banking Regulations

In this role as Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master for the Chief Data Office (CDO) , you will independently manage projects of varying sizes to support the consistent and efficient management of data across RBC. Lead and oversee delivery activities to ensure strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. You will be highly effective as a Project Manager and Scrum Master to ensure on time, on budget delivery of business value, helping business stakeholders meet all benefit commitments and business outcomes as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of Chief Data Office (CDO) teams and capabilities.
