- Participate in and execute tasks according to the monthly financial closing process protocol.
- Reconcile inter-company balances for allocated properties/entities.
- Perform full-cycle bank reconciliations for allocated properties/entities, including downloading bank account registers, posting transactions, and conducting weekly/monthly reconciliations.
- Resolve all balance sheet suspense balances weekly.
- Reconcile property loans, including loan statement reconciliation and posting monthly payments.
- Calculate monthly working capital and manage weekly distributions/contributions to owners.
- Review all property P&L expenses monthly for accuracy and post reclassification journal entries as needed.
- Review and post inter-company construction billings following capitalization protocols.
- Reconcile property equity balances with owner investment GL accounts.
- Prepare and report monthly property financial packages, highlighting material transactions and events to owners.
- Support and prepare monthly/quarterly reporting as directed by the Corporate Controller.
- Prepare property valuations (I/E) annually or as needed for each allocated property/entity.
- Maintain understanding of Corporate Accounting Policies.
- Prepare tax packages for allocated properties/entities.
- Manage Fixed Assets for each property/entity.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate property accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, 10-key, with experience in Pivot tables and Yardi Voyager Commercial preferred.
