      We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Property Risk Control Consultant. This position will support Willis Towers Watson’s Risk Control and Claims Advocacy Practice (RCCA) in the northeastern United States.

      The Role

      The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced Property Risk Control Consultant with a minimum ten years’ experience with global property underwriter requirements for highly protected risks in the large account space. The candidate is well versed in property risks and exposures related to fire, explosions, and natural hazards such as wind, earthquake, and flood. The candidate will be responsible for assisting our clients with their Total Cost of Risk (TCoR) of their property insurance portfolio and supporting our North American CRB brokerage team in the renewal/marketing process.

      This is a senior level consulting position that requires familiarity with risk management, project management and client leadership interaction.

      Responsibilities

      • Act as an advisor and client advocate regarding property related risk exposures and solutions.
      • Analyze property risk control analytics and carrier reports for the client and provide greater explanation regarding recommendations.
      • Review of property risk control and underwriting surveys for various clients in various industries.
      • Must be able to communicate with client and look for and find common ground solutions to property carrier recommendations.
      • Conduct occasional site surveys at client/prospect facilities for to support the property insurance brokerage process.
      • Develop annual written client service plans and related cost of services.
      • Consult with clients on ways to control hazards to reduce or prevent losses and to implement effective corrective actions to support reductions in their total cost of risk.
      • Periodically review fire protection and/or construction plans and specifications and provide comments based on NFPA, FM Global Data Sheets, and other pertinent standards.
      • Identify property risk control exposures during concept, design and building phases of construction.
      • Understand the occupancy of the client and the hazards associated with their operations.
      • Ability to assess high hazard occupancies (flammable liquids, combustible dusts, etc.). and offer advice to reduce exposure to loss
      • Supporting annual property insurance program marketing/renewals with the designated client CRB brokerage team.
      • Handle complex global client portfolios from various office in WTW North America.
      • Utilize WTW global network of property risk control colleagues to support client solutions as well as handle requested reverse flow client service requests.

      • Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering and minimum 10 years of Highly Protected Risk engineering and consulting experience as a property risk consultant.
      • Experience within the Technology and Telecommunications Industry is preferred
      • Technically proficient in understanding, interpreting, and applying NFPA, FM Global Data Sheet, and IFC standards and have the ability to evaluate fire protection systems, including but not limited to, automatic sprinklers and special fire extinguishing systems.
      • Have the business skills to utilize Risk & Analytics tools related to property placements including Property Quantified, Global Peril Diagnostics, RMS Catastrophic Modeling, and CoreLogic online valuations.
      • Ideal candidate is self-managing, organized, respectful and well-spoken with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Must have experience and ability to work remotely in a dynamic business environment to meet the expectations of internal and external clients.
      • Client related travel expectation of 20% on average annually.

      Compensation
      The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $200,000 - $260,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
