      The Project

      John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella have commence design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West – Eastern Tunnelling Package.

      With a contract worth $1.63 billion, the Eastern Tunnelling Package includes construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. Starting at The Bays, tunnel boring machines will cross the harbour near the Anzac Bridge, before heading to the new Pyrmont station and then under Darling Harbour before reaching Hunter Street in the heart of the CBD.

      The role

      We are seeking a Senior Quality Advisor to be based in Pyrmont. We would love to hear from candidates who have a strong track record in delivering civil infrastructure or civil construction projects.

      • Proactively provide support and advice to the design, operations and construction teams and to the broader quality team.
      • Development of required systems, procedures, and documents to manage supplier and subcontractors on site to meet Quality obligations and expectations.
      • Implement, maintain, monitor compliance and seek improvement of the Project Management System and systems for data, document and record management.
      • Deliver knowledge of applicable legislative and client requirements, including Government regulations, policies, standards, and specification.
      • Conduct quality site inspections with appropriate stakeholders to ensure work interfaces are managed and remain compliant.
      • Mentor and develop the more junior members of the team.

      Skills and experience

      • Degree qualified Civil Engineer
      • A minimum 5 years' experience in an identical role across the execution of major infrastructure projects.
      • Experience in developing and implementing project QA management systems.
      • Have initiative, be able to work independently and have problem solving skills.
