      Purpose of the role

      Togetherness and team spirit paired with a profound knowledge of the Real Estate market are the driving force behind delivering strong business cases for the Italian market. Be the recognized Real Estate expert and brand ambassador (m/f/d) in Italy, knowing how to lead situations and people, including external stakeholders. Your combination of unique skills, passion and drive to succeed will be determining for the development and the expansion in the Italian market.


      Location: Base of working is in Italy (Lombardia)

      Your responsibilities:

      • Reporting to the Head of Property Europe and working together with the Market Lead for South Europe you develop the market entrance strategy and the real estate strategy aiming on expansion in Italy (initial focus on Lombardia).
      • Prepare strong business cases (incl. location requirements, commercial idea, configuration of space as well as economic and legal terms) for approval in the Investment Board and execute in line with the market plan and agreed priority setting.
      • Develop and implement a consistent way towards sustainable rents (or total costs of operations in case of Shopping Centers), market entry as well as visibility, and drive clear contractual obligations that cover all relevant aspects such as legal, maintenance and sustainability.
      • Create and develop a professional network of Real Estate experts and connected stakeholders representing C&A on the Italian territory.
      • Monitor and (re)negotiate lease contracts for existing stores (lease terms, prolongations, terminations, rent levels, etc.) to contribute to the market plan and our modernization objectives.

      What you bring:

      • Solid Real Estate experience in a leading role for an international retailer paired with an excellent understanding of legislation and market practice concerning Real Estate in Italy.
      • Expert in how to assess the Real Estate market in Italy and how to create a plan that supports business decisions taken and mitigating risks during implementation.
      • Strong knowledge of how to implement commercial requirements, and strong affinity in working with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ability of driving a complex agenda and overseeing strategic objectives paired with strong communication that supports leading internal and external stakeholders in a structured way.
      • Fluent Italian and English language skills.
