      Job Purpose

      The ICE Data Services Operations team offers technical expertise, customer service, and innovative tools to support global functions throughout the organisation. Reference Data Operations, Systems, Network, Trade Operations, Internal IT Support, Information Security, Client Services, and Data Centres all enable our business to run smoothly, securely, and efficiently.

      In Reference Data Operations (RDO), the primary purpose of this position is to research, analyse, interpret, transform, and present reference data for security and company level reference data for all global markets.

      RDO is responsible for maintaining reference data for millions of securities and companies which is then incorporated into our clients’ day-to-day workflows to make investments, clear and settle trades, manage portfolios, analyse risk, maintain security master files, create client statements, meet regulatory requirements and more.

      Responsibilities

      As a member of the RDO team, you will play an integral role in ensuring that ICE provides our customers and the marketplace with highly accurate, timely and complete security and company level content sets that are best in class. As a Senior Reference Data Associate, you will analyse a variety of legal and financial documents as well as communicate with and influence underwriters, issuers, corporate trust administrators and third-party vendors to procure reference data, resolve data discrepancies and gain an understanding of undefined terms. Demonstrating growing independent judgement and doing so within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will:

      • Make sound, subjective decisions when interpreting legal and financial information by utilising subject matter expertise to infer, deduce and ultimately draw the correct conclusions.
      • Apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative work-flow efficiencies and process improvements resulting in increased accuracy levels, time to market and productivity.
      • Help identify trends and causation of inaccurate and/or incomplete data including but not limited to new financing techniques and new regulatory requirements used by the marketplace and organisations that impact coverage and completeness.
      • Work with other teams to resolve and respond to client challenges.
      • Participate in ad hoc projects to optimise processes and/or improve the quality of the data set.
      • Demonstrate taking on responsibility within your immediate team.
      • Act autonomously with learned processes.
      • Use SQL, Python and/or Excel functions to organise, analyse and validate reference data.

      Knowledge and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience or (MBA Finance, PGDM Finance, M Com or MFM degrees for India).
      • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to distil substantial amounts of information into specific takeaways.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to craft client-ready correspondences.
      • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, fluid environment.
      • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and collaborate with team members.
      • 1+ year corporate level experience or 6+ months direct experience.

      Schedule

      This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
