What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the full prior authorization lifecycle, ensuring timely approvals while navigating complex payer policies
- Collaborate with billing tool providers and internal teams to optimize billing operations
- Address and troubleshoot complex reimbursement issues and denials
- Facilitate communication between ordering physician offices and internal teams for efficient claim resolution
- Maintain accurate documentation for payer communications and conduct insurance claims research

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in professional and facility coding, billing, and prior authorization
- Proven experience in contacting and following up with insurance carriers on denials and appeals
- Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry with above-average typing skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience preferred

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with laboratory billing, payer portals, and national as well as regional payers
- Familiarity with EDI enrollment and merchant solutions
- Experience appealing to state-level agencies or external reviews with IRO/IRBs
