      About the Role

      Working within a dedicated micro-team consisting of an R&A Manager and two Assistant Managers, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of Health and Property Development / Investment customers (lending up to $75M) and be responsible for driving growth through acquisition, supporting the Customer needs holistically, and leveraging your referral networks.

      Your deep understanding of the Property and/or Health industry will bring energy, drive and passion to our team and your Customer conversations to enable those Customers to achieve their goals and thrive!

      Your curiosity and genuine interest in the Customer, paired with your technical expertise across banking products such as property investment and property development lending as well as working capital financing, trade finance, cash management and trade facilities will mean you can navigate any complex Customer need.

      What will your day look like?

      • Managing a portfolio of Health and Property customers with a customer-centric approach alongside your dedicated Portfolio team members.
      • Leveraging your strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiating skills you will bring a collaborative approach to both the Customer and the Team.
      • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders (eg, Product Partners, other business units and the broader credit team) to structure deals.
      • Building valued relationships with operations teams to build efficiencies and minimize non lending losses.
      • Applying strong credit and industry portfolio analysis skills towards credit proposal recommendations.
      • Managing compliance and assessing both new and existing transactions.
      • Adhering to Group Audit requirements, meeting QA and Audit compliance standards, and ensuring all matters raised are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
      • Working closely with lending services to minimise provisions.
      • Demonstrating mastery of your specialisation, skills and capabilities within the Commercial mid-market & specialist segment domains.
      • Developing and maintaining a strong awareness of the health and property industries, key trends, economic trends and market forces.

      What will you bring?


      To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

      • Ability to build long-term Customer relationships supported by best of class customer satisfaction outcome.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage C-suite executives, business owners, and financial decision-makers.
      • Strong understanding of Commercial mid-market banking products (e.g., property investment, property development, working capital financing, trade finance, cash management, trade facilities) and ability to analyse financial statements.
      • Property and/or Health Industry Knowledge and network.
      • Ability to identify financial opportunities for Customers and recommend appropriate banking structures, products and services to value-add.
      • Ability to negotiate and structure complex and customised banking deals.
      • Proficiency in evaluating the credit risk and managing the lending process, including structuring credit facilities.
      • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management principles and how to mitigate risks.
      • Experience in leading teams and an ability to work with senior management.
      • Curiosity, passion, energy and strong problem-solving skills.
