      $130,000 USD - $150,000 USD

      Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package.       Job Description:

      As a valued member of the Equity Manager Research team, this position plays a critical role in Russell Investments’ investment manager evaluation and portfolio management processes. The research team is responsible for evaluating, ranking, and recommending investment strategies managed by external asset managers, supporting key investment decisions across the firm’s equity and multi-asset funds, as well as for institutional client portfolios. The Senior Research Analyst will contribute directly to investment performance by identifying high-quality investment strategies, offering thoughtful insights, and partnering closely with internal portfolio managers and other stakeholders across the Investment Division.

      This is a high-impact role where your work will shape global investment outcomes and inform some of the most important decisions made on behalf of our clients.       Your Core Responsibilities:

      • Lead in-depth evaluations of equity investment strategies across styles (value, growth, etc.) and geographies, incorporating both rigorous quantitative analysis and insightful qualitative assessments, subject to peer review.
      • Develop agendas and conduct effective due diligence meetings with investment management teams to extract differentiated insights and support robust investment recommendations.
      • Deliver timely, high-quality research reports that clearly articulate your investment views to both internal portfolio managers and external consulting clients.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally with portfolio managers and other investment professionals to refine manager selection, portfolio positioning, and identify emerging market trends, risks, and opportunities within the equity market and potentially relevant investment products.
      • Shape investment perspectives by contributing to peer review processes and offering thoughtful, constructive feedback on colleagues’ analyses.
      • Drive research innovation, continuously enhancing the tools, processes, and methodologies that support our manager research efforts.
      • Represent the firm with impact by supporting client service and marketing initiatives, including presentations to clients and participation in new business development efforts.
      • Travel as needed to conduct on-site manager due diligence.

      The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

      • Bachelor's degree is required, programs in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields are preferred.
      • Advanced degrees such as an MBA or certifications such as a CFA charter are preferred.
      • 5–10 years of experience in investment management or consulting, ideally as a research analyst, consulting analyst, or portfolio analyst.
      • Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking are paramount, the role requires an ability to make investment cases based on qualitative and quantitative factors.
      • Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly on investment topics.
      • Strong organizational drive, able to manage priorities and move quickly without sacrificing depth or accuracy. Ability to interview others and form critical judgments based on qualitative and quantitative factors.
      • Solid capital markets knowledge, particularly in equity investments and statistical applications relevant to investment analysis.
      • Technical fluency with investment software and a high level of proficiency in Excel and analytical tools.
