Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize assessment-related information using various methodologies
- Apply Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory methods
- Conduct validity and reliability analyses
- Perform statistical analyses, including regression
Reports and Communication:
- Produce reports and papers suitable for educators, researchers, and policymakers
- Design and deliver presentations to internal audiences and conferences
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications
Collaboration and Equity:
- Communicate and collaborate with external partners and internal team members
- Stay informed about assessment policy environment and current research
- Center equity concerns and include voices from underrepresented communities
- Design and conduct analyses responsive to user needs
Project Management:
- Develop timelines and meet deadlines
- Support professional development of research assistants and interns
- Contribute to strategic business development opportunities, including proposals and network growth
Requirements:
- Commitment to advancing equity in education
- Ph.D. in educational measurement, statistics, quantitative psychology, research methodology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a psychometrician applying Item Response Theory methods and conducting statistical analyses
- Programming experience in SAS or R
- Experience with large datasets
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to adapt and persist in complex and uncertain circumstances
- Ability to learn on-the-job and grow into new roles and responsibilities
Additional Information:
- Visa sponsorship not available for this position
- Salary range: $86,900 to $149,000 (typical hiring range: $99,360 to $124,200)
