What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive research reviews to ensure compliance with institutional and federal regulations
- Identify potential security risks and escalate them for appropriate action
- Perform risk analyses and develop mitigation plans for federal funders
- Assist faculty Principal Investigators in understanding reporting requirements and mitigating risks
- Collaborate with Export Control to perform joint reviews related to export control regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in research security, compliance, or related areas with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing and refining business processes and university policies related to research security
- Familiarity with federal legislative changes impacting research security and compliance
