- Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements related to Capital Markets;
- Review risk related to non-standard, or structured transactions and new traded products;
- Review the existing processes and controls and make recommendations for enhancements when needed;
- Liaise closely with Financial Markets Group (FMG), Capital Markets and second line of defense Market Risk Group to provide active risk measurement, monitoring and mitigation action to ensure risk appetite adherence;
- Identify and analyze significant exposures and ensure the management is kept informed;
- Work closely with second line of defense to identify and implement best practice on ongoing basis with respect to Capital Markets;
- Involvement in new product analysis, specifications and testing;
- Ensure standardization and best practices in metrics and reporting;
- Work closely with FMG and Legal to ensure that International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements is obtained for all required counterparties;
- Responsabile for the counterparty creation within the trading system Murex;
- Oversight and monitoring of the information captured within the Murex as relates to counterparties, approved limits and trades.

- Translator: Can convert large volumes of information, complex or ambiguous, into readily-understood communication;

- 5+ years experience working in a Financial Institution with a focus on Capital Markets;
- A graduate degree in Business Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Law;
- Strong knowledge of North American securities law;
- Understanding of the Canadian securities laws, Financial Transactions and Report Analysis Center of Canada (FINTRAC) and Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO);
- Understanding of US regulatory regime, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the SEC;
- Strong product knowledge across asset, liability, and contingent classes, including derivatives (FX, IR, Commodities);
- Understanding of risk measurements for both trading and non-trading portfolio;
- Experience with interpreting and implementing regulatory guidelines and best practices;
- Knowledge of risk analytics like value at risk (VaR), option pricing, profit and loss;
- Existing knowledge in capital markets products and derivative pricing;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Financial Risk Manager Designation (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals would be considered an asset;
- Previous working experience on risk and valuation relating to Commodity, FX and IR.

Reporting to the Director Upstream Risk, Regulatory & Policy, you will work with various internal and external partners in the ongoing development and assessment of processes and policies as they relate to Capital Markets with the objective of meeting the goals of ATB Business and ATB Financial.
