What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage the insurance renewal process, including recommendations on going to market for new quotes and correspondence with brokers and underwriters
- Serve as a direct liaison between the company and insurance brokers, adjusters, and underwriters for claims processing
- Perform loss exposure analyses and evaluate benchmarking data to assess the adequacy of insurance coverages
- Assist with enhancing processes within the insurance portfolio
- Support the company's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and assessment process by developing and evaluating data associated with the organization's most significant risks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing an insurance portfolio on behalf of a corporation
- Significant experience working in or supporting an enterprise risk management function
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and ability to understand written manuals and directives
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor's degree in Business with experience in audit, compliance, insurance, or risk management or equivalent combination of education and experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks
- Experience in risk management or insurance integration activities
- Analytical skills to analyze loss data and identify key trends
- Experience in preparing reports for risk committees and board of directors
