      Senior Robotics Engineer - Motion Planning and Control

      Milpitas, CA

      Job Overview

      We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Motion Planning and Control Engineer to join our innovative AI robotics company. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge robotic manipulation and navigation solutions, as well as work on behavior planning for complex robotic systems. You will also collaborate closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of the planning and control stack into real-world robotic applications.

      Responsibilities

      • Design and implement advanced algorithms for navigation and manipulation, optimizing their performance for real-time applications.
      • Develop and fine-tune low-level control algorithms to achieve precise control of robotic systems.
      • Design, implement, and test localization and mapping algorithms by fusing information from multiple sensors.
      • Proactively learn and adopt new ideas, concepts, and technologies to drive innovation.
      • Collaborate with hardware, AI, and product teams to ensure robust system integration and performance.
      • Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable software that will be deployed in real-world applications.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Master's degree in Robotics, Control, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years of industry experience.
      • Strong expertise in robot kinematics & dynamics, optimization, and state estimation techniques.
      • Solid understanding of path and trajectory planning, low-level control, and behavior planning.
      • Senior-level expertise in algorithm design and programming, with proficiency in modern C++.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Must have and maintain U.S. work authorization.
