- Develop motion planning and motion control algorithms for optimal manipulation of 6 or 7 axis industrial robot arms.
- Architect, design, and implement software interfaces with industrial robots to obtain optimal real-time performance
- Design and implement new approaches to improve calibration between robots and computer vision units, grippers, or other robotic mechanisms.
- Developing and modeling motion paths and obstacle avoidances of robotic arm in a highly cluttered workspace.
- Optimizing the manipulation for smooth handling and minimum latency.
- Ph.D. in robotics field or MS with strong relevant industrial experience in robotics.
- Proven experience in one or more robot control areas, such as: parameterizing control frameworks that balance tradeoffs between flexibility, speed, and accuracy; trajectory optimization; inverse kinematics; motion planning; and robotic integration.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with ROS and MoveIt.
- Deep knowledge in robotic system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing, especially for industrial robotic manipulators.
- Highly motivated to push the envelope of robotics.
- Agility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience working with robotic systems including Industrial robotic arms, cameras, and grippers.
- Relevant publications in top-tier robotics journals and conferences like ICRA, IROS, RA-L, T-RO, etc.
- Experience working with JIRA for Task/Project Management and Agile methodology.

You will take our motion planning and control stack capabilities and features to the next levels. You will be responsible for developing features for dexterous manipulation like error correction and compensation, collision avoidance, motion planning and control for dual-arm coordination, etc.An ideal candidate should show experience in solving challenging problems in motion planning and control for dexterous robotic manipulators, showing ownership of the execution and evangelism of their project, pushing their creation to deployment, and growing and mentoring peers. They should be constantly investigating new technologies, identifying key concerns, and working with the engineering team to further robotics engineering excellence.YOU WILL
