      The AWS Commercial/SMB Sales organization consists of a dynamic group of seasoned field sales professionals who deliver both competitive business outcomes for customers and industry-leading sales results for AWS.

      As Senior Sales Manager for Illinois, you'll be responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue objectives and key performance goals with small and medium-sized commercial customers ($30m to $100m annual company revenue) within the state. Working in the AWS ORD11 Chicago office for a an average of three days each week, you will collaborate, lead, and inspire a group of seven to nine direct reports responsible for revenue and market share growth with both new and existing AWS customers.

      The Role:

      - Lead 7-9 field sales Account Managers and facilitate AWS partner engagement to manage revenue responsibility within a range of $180m to $200m (ARR.)
      - Collaborate with extended AWS resource personnel leadership (management for Solutions Architects, Service line leaders, Product Specialists, Field Marketing, Partner Sales, and Sales Operations) to implement sales programs that drive results against key strategic product, channel, and service objectives.
      - Provide field leadership negotiation oversight and engagement necessary to delight customers and deliver customer-obsessed business outcomes through committed contracts, modernization programs, and service/support options.
      - Develop and drive revenue-generating field relationships with AWS Systems Integrators (SIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) operating in Illinois.
      - Create, develop, and maintain a bar-raising performance sales culture within the Illinois district which accelerates career-development for high achievers and addresses performance management as necessary.
      - Determine and deliver district forecasts (weekly, quarterly, and annually as requested) and write clear, succinct, and compelling monthly business reviews (MBRs) describing district sales initiatives, local market insights, key wins, losses, and competitive insights.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Chicago, IL, USA- BA/BS degree required
      - 5+ years of sales team management experience
      - 10+ years of technology related sales or sales engineering experience- Strong verbal and written communications skills
      - A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus
      - Strong leadership skills and proven ability to aid in the development of others
      - Demonstrated history of executing scalable programs across a volume of new and existing customers
      - Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets through a team of Sellers
