      Job Description Summary

      Le Mans is a multi-million pound strategic analytical platform which forms the core analytical capability for Risk. With over the 400 billion data records, 1300 users, 3000 Production Jobs and 4,000 business processes, the foundations have been laid for the platform to become the main engine for data and a catalyst for change. The solution is the largest database in Lloyds Banking Group and supports analytical and reporting activity which has a direct impact on the Group’s ability to be the Best Bank for Customers - supporting a wide range of regulatory reporting, models and analytics including Capital Reporting, IFRS9, FINREP, Bureau and BCBS239 reporting
      Technological advances in analytics software and technology present numerous opportunities for continued platform development, enhancement, and optimisation. At the same time, demand from across the Group to extend the suite of business applications remains very high (e.g. to meet evolving reporting, impairment, and capital needs).

      The Data Excellence Infrastructure team supports the delivery of the strategic Le Mans data roadmap including migration to Google Cloud Platform in 2024. We administer and provide technical support for the Le Mans system to facilitate business reporting, modelling, analytics, and customer decision making.

      Job Description

      JOB TITLE: Senior SAS Analyst, Platform Support

      SALARY: £45,054 to £55,066

      LOCATION(S): Halifax, Leeds, Edinburgh or London

      HOURS: 35 Hours Full Time

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

      About this opportunity

      Le Mans is a analytical SAS platform which forms the core analytical capability for Risk within Lloyds. With over 400 billion data records, 1300 users, 3000 Production Jobs and 4000 business processes, Le Mans supports a wide range of regulatory reporting, models and analytics including Capital Reporting, IFRS9, FINREP, Bureau and BCBS239 reporting.

      The Data Excellence Infrastructure team supports the delivery of the strategic Le Mans data roadmap including migration to Google Cloud Platform in 2024. We administer and provide technical support for the Le Mans system to facilitate business reporting, modelling, analytics, and customer decision making.

      Key accountabilities include:

      • Daily management and ownership for the production scheduled batch on Le Mans support

      • First line and triage support for all platform user issues. Root cause, SME support including 3rd party (SAS) engagement

      • Support the cloud migration project to enable Le Mans platform to be migrated smoothly into the Google Cloud Platform in 2024

      • Central coordination for BAU data changes incl. design, delivery, testing and implementation to Prod

      • Oversight, process execution and SME partner engagement for BAU compliances processes (ITEC, UAM, Cyber, SOX, PwC, Audit, etc)

      • Direct link between Business, IT and 3rd parties for all subject areas relating to Le Mans

      • Administration of all user permissions across the Le Mans environments

      • Pro-active & regular monitoring of the application to ensure that the system is available & stable. Ongoing housekeeping incl. continuous improvements

      What you’ll need

      • SAS Experience - ideally SAS v9.4, this should include:

      • experience of SAS Enterprise Guide as a minimum and with exposure to SAS DI Studio and SAS Management Console administration toolset (or demonstrate the fundamentals of permission-based architectures)

      • Unix AIX experience also preferred

      • Ability to understand sophisticated business requirements and create business ready, and compliant solutions in SAS

      • Experienced in a wide range of input data structures and file types such as XML, flat files and SAS files

      And any experience of these would be really useful

      • Able to write comprehensive process documentation required to support the Route-to-Live process (including detailed designs, operations handbooks, other technical specification docs).

      • Stakeholder Management experience is key. Ability to clearly articulate the data architecture, processes and provide workable solutions in an easy to understand format to SAS users.

      • Team development and coaching of both technical solutions and customer interaction.

      • Experience of financial product data, especially Credit Risk would be beneficial.
