      You execute the regulatory affairs strategy for your respective categories and geographical area using your technical and regulatory expertise. You ensure the regulatory and policy compliance of our portfolio and ensure policies, regulatory programs and requirements are met.

      How you will contribute

      You will implement the regulatory affairs strategy and work with cross-functional teams to anticipate regulatory business risks and opportunities. In addition, you will provide regulatory affairs expertise for technical regulatory developments and help with responses to challenges and crisis management. In this role, you will ensure that ingredients, product composition, claims and labelling is in compliance with regulations and company policies, provide guidance to stakeholders on regulatory affairs, propose and implement business solutions in response to regulatory changes, and maintain and develop a strong knowledge of regulatory, scientific and nutrition risks and opportunities in your corresponding market.

      What you need to know about this position:

      SARA (Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs) is a business partner that drives and protects Mondelez International competitive advantage by leveraging regulatory & scientific affairs expertise.

      The European Regulatory Compliance Team ensures that the complete MEU portfolio (Raw materials, recipes, final products, packs, claims, advertisements and corporate commitments) is in compliance with:

      - Local legislations and standards;

      - European legislations;

      - Company policies (QPs)

      The Regulatory Compliance Senior Scientist I in Chocolate Category ensures that raw materials, recipes, finished products, packs are in compliance with local legislations and standards, European legislations and company policies:

      Supports/coordinate large scale projects; providing RA expertise and input to the project management tasks and their timing through PCM Raw material, recipe and finished product review and approval. Ingredient and nutritional claim validation and validation of more complex claims; including claims on pack, in advertisements and other media for UK and European brands under its scope Labelling coordinator role for MEU brands - Products Labelling Reports (PLRs) generation for European (including local) brands.

      Regulatory key contact in Local project team.

      LABEL spec generation, PROD spec review including Health & Wellness policies,

      PLR creation & translation review and local approval for MEU

      Coordination and Information of the regulatory network

      Pre-review of claims, advertisements, media

      Handling general enquiries from local authorities.

      Artwork Approval.

      Managing transition requests: preparation of the consolidated regulatory assessment.

      Interact and communicate as a regulatory partner with multiple functions including RD&Q, Product change management, Marketing, Consumer services, Supply chain, Legal and Corporate affairs.

      For claim validation and pre-review of claims, advertisements, media, regulatory guidance and decisions making in case of sensitive matters (e.g. risk assessment; non-conformity of raw materials, recipes, finished products and packs; enquiries from consumers or any other external people, etc.). The support and validation from management or experts will be in relevant cases needed.

      Support/coach/train junior team members.

      Assist with the compliance and maintenance of external communication via Websites.
