      Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology Cell Therapy

      Gaithersburg, MD

      Are you ready to take smart risks and transform the way cancer is treated? Join us in Oncology R&D as a Senior Scientist, where you'll conduct standard drug discovery research experiments, interpret data, and communicate results effectively. You'll be part of a team that prioritizes fast action and bold moves, always following the scientific evidence.

      Accountabilities:

      As a Senior Scientist, you'll be responsible for conducting drug discovery research experiments using in vivo and in vitro techniques of pharmacology, and molecular and cellular biology. You'll support your team by ensuring efficient relay of information and forward translation of data. You'll also provide scientific and technical instruction to the team, present relevant external published literature, and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice, Safety, Health and Environment standards.

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      • Ph. D. and 3+ years of relevant experience (preferred), or MS and 10+ years of relevant experience or BS and 13+ years of relevant experience
      • Extensive in vivo pharmacology expertise in working with rodent tumor models
      • Strong abilities in molecular and cellular biology and immunological assays
      • Acquainted in vitro cell culture techniques, including human cell transfection/transduction and manufacturing
      • Strong skills in multiparameter flow cytometry (> 8 color)

      Desirable Skills/Experience:

      • Background in drug discovery and development in the pharmaceutical industry
      • Basic experience developing cellular therapies including CAR-T, CAR-NK, and/or TCR-T therapies
      • Proficient in transfection, transduction, and expansion of rodent and human primary cells
