Job Description

- Performs various experiments to support analytical method development for cell therapy product and other biologics product.
- Performs sample testing and data analysis following established methodologies and procedures with minimal supervision and rapid turn-around time.
- Maintains excellent documentation of experiments and studies.
- Authors and reviews SOPs, protocols, and reports as needed.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance in conjunction with manager.
- Report on project progress and present data at internal team meetings.
- Performs laboratory support duties ensuring the laboratory functions efficiently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
- Sr. Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4+ years’)
- OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’)
- OR PhD
- Experience with one or more of the following analytical techniques: RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, ddPCR, NGS
- Ability to follow safety regulations and work in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Displays emerging ability to make or modify experimental designs and protocols to enable experimental and/or methodological improvement.
- Demonstrate independent reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communicator (oral, written) with proven ability to build open and collaborative relationships and work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary and matrixed team.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced work environment and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word to perform tasks.
- Time management and project management skills.
