      Senior Service Transition Analyst

      Per manent

      Location: Edinburgh or Witham (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)

      Salary: A competitive salary from £40,480 £50,600 , depending on the experience you can bring

      Closing date: Tuesday 27th February

      As the Senior Service Transition Analyst , y ou will be responsible for ensuring adherence to policies, processes and tooling that are in place to manage, assess and provide clear audit trail regarding the transition of change through its lifecycle within IT & Chang e, whilst safeguarding the production environment.

      Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

      • Support early engagement with project teams to develop an awareness and understanding of the impacts of future IT change to the production environment .

      • Work with Service Transition Managers to ensure that any development proposal for a new or changed service is a viable proposition from an operational support/maintenance and run perspective .

      • Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Change management framework .

      • Adhere to and support the continual improvement of the formal r elease m anagement g overnance and f ramework .

      • Manage r eleases in the monthly release process and on occasion, outside of this; with support from the Service Transition Managers .

      • Increase departmental efficiency through identification and implementation of process improvements.

      • Lead and/or support on BAU activities across the Service Transition function, for example Test Environment Management, Risk Control reviews and running the Change Advisory Board (CAB)

      We’d love to hear from you if you have:

      • Experience of working in complex and large-scale t echnology environments , ideally within a controlled environment .

      • Service management background relating to service operation and transition .

      • Knowledge and experience of change, release, incident and problem management.

      • A strong understanding of I nformation Technology Infrastructure Library processes and how they are applied within an IT Operations department.

      • Strong analysis capability and ability to implement process definition, introduction and improvement.

      • Experience of engaging and building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
