- KiwiRail Holdings Limited currently have Senior Signal Engineer positions available in Pōneke (Wellington)
- Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
- Pay range - $100,000 - $140,000 per annum
- Multiple positions available
- Producing design solutions for signals assets.
- Producing specifications, undertake scoping, scheme plans, detailed design, control table, circuit bookscable plans for retrofit, upgrades and new assets.
- Providing technical advice for the maintenance and upgrade of signals assets.
- Supporting the development of long-term asset management strategies for signals assets.
- Providing advice for maintenance and renewal projects, managing contracts and liaising with third parties.
- Supporting training and supervision of junior engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, standards, and instructions.
- Proven 8 years' experience in Railway Signals Engineering.

Proven experience in Interlocking system for Mainline/Metro systems.
- Experience delivering Level Crossing Design.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written with the ability to effectively present information and advice to a range of audiences.
- Innovative and creative focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong organisation skills to manage conflicting demands to achieve deadlines and deliver responsibilities.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader Signals, you will support KiwiRail in delivering technical excellence, continuous improvement, and satisfaction to our customers and stakeholders. You'll be responsible for assisting with engineering aspects of design and implementation of signalling systems.

You’ll have a relevant qualification in Engineering, specialising in electronics, mechatronics or similar . Your qualification must be recognised in New Zealand or an NZQA assessment must have been completed.
