We are currently seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Vaisala Xweather RoadAI team at Espoo/Lappeenranta. RoadAI combines a user-friendly AI tool with high-quality geospatial video data and reliable methodology to simplify and improve pavement inventory and management. YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM?

You will be working with

• Full-stack development (AWS, Python, Linux/Unix systems, SQL)
• Web frontend (JavaScript, TypeScript, React)
• APIs
• Video and image processing pipelines.
  

The role can also be tailored to include responsibilities related to data analytics and deep machine learning.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Ability to write clean and maintainable code within collaborative environments
• Several years of professional working experience with:
  • Native cloud services / SaaS
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, React
  • Python
  • Linux/Unix systems
  • Relational databases (SQL)
• Fluent English and good communication skills.

In addition, skills in any of the following are considered a plus:

• Cloud native services, e.g. AWS
• UI testing frameworks
• Geospatial data
• Document-oriented databases (MongoDB)
• Go, C++
• Kubernetes
• Deep learning and computer vision.
