What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead teams of 2-4 people in developing, testing, and fixing defects in application software
- Prepare overall application software designs at the system level
- Estimate work and create project schedules for technical work within the team
- Resolve complex problems related to the systems being developed
- Maintain expert knowledge of software development best practices and business processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree (or higher) or 2+ years of professional work experience
- 3+ years of experience in software development or testing
- Knowledge of Cobol, Microfocus Cobol, SQL, CICS, JCL, and Oracle
- Understanding of software development methodologies and tools
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for system implementations

- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Familiarity with software testing practices and tools
- Understanding of business analysis practices and business process modeling
- Experience in quality management and quality improvement practices
