Job Description

- Architect, build, iterate, and manage backend services that powers global Inkitt Platform
- Develop API contracts, create documentation, and support application team in developing against those APIs
- Build the frontend of applications through appealing visual design
- Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals
- Contribute your ideas to the product's roadmap
- Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience
- Continuously explore new technologies that will elevate the user experience of customers in order to be at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment
- 5+ years of professional software development experience within various back-end infrastructures
- Expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and React
- Experience with using Docker and Sidekiq, while any experience with building CI pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caches, and CDNs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with other teams, while experience mentoring juniors is a plus
- A drive to raise the bar of the team on Code Quality, User Empathy, and Delivery Speed
