- Participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.

- Must have at least 5 years of relevant software development experience, preferably in product engineering or RTOS environments.
- Experience with C++ and Red Hat Linux or equivalent OS
- Additional experience in C, Java is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support system integration and test, customer events, and related external activities.
- Typically requires a completed bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work onsite 3 days /week, at El Segundo, CA.
- Must have an Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- A Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Experience with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, VxWorks, or other RTOS
- Experience with design, code, integration, and test of large systems
- Experience developing embedded software for sensors, algorithm development, signal or data processing preferred.
- Experience in Model Based Software Development (MBSD)

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
